Navtech Relocates to Hersham Place Technology Park

National property and facilities management company Fasset Ltd is delighted to welcome Navtech to Hersham Place. Following an extensive eight week office refit, Navtech (a division of the European Aeronautical Group) has taken up residence in an 11,000 sq ft office, at the Surrey based premier technology and business park.

The company’s initial requirement was for more suitable space, configured and aligned alongside their business requirements; in a prestigious location where they could grow and develop in the coming months. Once the refit was completed all 100 staff were able to move in, over just one weekend, meaning minimal disruption to the business.

Navtech is a leading provider of flight operations software solutions for the commercial aviation industry. It also has dispatch solutions that develop advanced aeronautical charts, navigational data and optimised flight paths; and crew planning software to maximise cost efficiencies and employee satisfaction. The company has a blue chip client list, mainly within the aviation field, so being so close to major airports such as Heathrow and Gatwick also contributed to their decision to remain in the Hersham area, which is a great result for the local employment market.

We needed a space that was more suited to our business needs yet did not compromise on quality. Hersham was ideal as it has the perfect mix of excellent facilities, people and product. Fasset Ltd provided an excellent service from beginning to end and so far everything has gone according to plan. The team are already onsite and the business is on track for a great start to 2012”.

The negotiations were led by Key Account Manager for Fasset Ltd, Mitch Avis, who was instrumental in agreeing terms and managing the project delivery to ensure that the internal modifications and specifications were on time and within budget. He comments: “Working with Navtech has been a very rewarding project and having them finally move onsite is a huge boost to both the Park and the local regional economy. Being a technology based innovative business makes them an ideal match for Hersham and I am confident that they will go from strength to strength.”

Local MP for Esher and Walton-on-Thames, Dominic Raab who was recently at Hersham to judge the final of the Rydens ‘Apprentice’ competition that was being hosted there, was able to meet Navtech and welcome them onsite. He comments: “Navtech are the latest business to join the impressive range of hi-tech start up companies in the borough. The company will be based at Hersham Place Technology Park which is becoming an innovative local hub for such businesses. Britain has a comparative advantage in niche hi-tec manufacturing and engineering, so it’s great to see that potential being developed locally”.

Hersham Place has been a real success story for the local area, taking occupancy to well above the national average with 29 businesses now based at the location. They recently celebrated 100% occupancy on their smaller serviced offices.

Hersham Place Technology Park is located in the Borough of Elmbridge in Surrey. Anchor occupier Air Products awarded regional parks operator Fasset Ltd the contract to transform their 170,000 ft2 site into a multi-tenanted business park. Some of the businesses currently based there include: STAM’S, GEM HME, Bolero, Esselar, First Sports International, Secon, Quicklogic, and Digitl PC
The Park can accommodate flexible term leases, with bespoke space solutions available from 1,200ft2 to 5,650 ft2, in collaboration with letting agents Hurst Warne.
